Description

Provide exceptional service to all guests and potential guests by assisting them in a friendly, efficient, courteous, and professional manner. Perform valet parking services to safely and efficiently move guest automobiles to a designated parking location while following departmental policies and procedures.

Duties:

  • The primary focus of the position is to drive vehicles to designated valet parking locations, secure and note the space the vehicle is parked in on the valet tag and log, return the tag and keys to the valet key podium/booth.
  • Make note and/or alert the supervisor and/or customer of any damages to the vehicle, as well as any other relevant information.
  • Inspect each vehicle before taking possession and follow the company’s standard valet operating procedures.
  • Greet all guests in a friendly and accommodating manner, open the vehicle doors (explain valet procedures and hours of operation), tag keys, and perform access control duties. A Valet attendant needs to be able to answer any questions a guest may have about the destination or directions.
  • Be able to operate many different kinds of vehicles with both standard and manual transmissions. Valet attendants must be comfortable driving vehicles of all sizes and types.
  • Upon retrieval of a vehicle, the valet must ensure that payment has been made. The Vehicle must be secured and not released until the customer has paid for the service.
  • Place appropriate signage in areas for valet service and retrieve the signs for storage daily.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and professional work area at all times. Any potential hazardous situations must be brought to the attention of the supervisor or manager.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
  • It is the employee’s responsibility to inform supervision immediately of any traffic or moving violations that they receive either on- or off-duty. This information will be treated with due confidentiality while recognizing the company’s strong interest in protecting its customers, visitors, and their property.

Non-Essential Duties and Responsibilities (including but not limited to):

  • May be asked to perform cashier duties.
  • May be asked by local management to complete small cleaning or maintenance tasks according to the company’s maintenance checklists.
  • Other special projects as assigned by location management.

Qualifications:

Minimum Acceptable Required Qualifications:

  1. Must be 18 years of age at time of appointment.
  2. Possession of a valid State of CT or NY driver’s license with no license suspension or revocation within the prior five (5) years (60 months) at time of appointment (Valid State Driver’s License must be uploaded.)
